This is an amazing story! I like the format where we read Jim’s story and then also read what Shirley is dealing with. An incredible account of a real life adventure, and the faith that got the family through it!!
About the Author
Jim and Shirley Carroll were missionaries in Kuwait when the Iraqis invaded in August 1990. Jim was trapped for five months in the American Embassy in Kuwait. Shirley was back in the US for surgery for one of their children. She had to remain in the US, and she was stuck with no money to care for their seven children.
Jim and Shirley now reside in Augusta. Jim is a Professor Emeritus of Neurology at the local University. They now have eight children and fourteen grandchildren.
