Speechless – My Laryngectomy Story by Jo Jenner

What followed were tests, operations, scar tissue, complications and more operations.
I had to breathe through a tracheostomy tube for six months, be fed through a tube for twelve months and was unable to speak for twelve weeks.
This is my story of how I made it through a partial laryngectomy with some of the best care the NHS had to offer.
