“Very happy”

Five Star Review on AmazonĀ By Dawn Johnson

“I really enjoyed this book. Especially for a first time author.
The two main characters reminded me of Xena & Gabrielle–don’t know if that was intentional but it did help me to picture DJ and Erin.

I found this to be much more than a typical lesbian romance, and I’ve read quite a few. There are serious issues that come up and I think the author handles these very well. Along with the emotional honesty, there is quite a bit of humor in the book.

I particularly liked the author’s ability to write very natural dialogue. That’s one of the reasons the story moves along so well.

Although the background involves Mixed Martial Arts, I found I didn’t need to know anything about MMA to enjoy the passages that take place in the gym. The writer explains the basics very clearly. It felt like she tried to put you in the gym with the characters.

All in all, a fine first novel. I’m looking forward to more from this author.”

About the Author

Proud liberal; writer; animal lover; genre fan; also Xena/Gab & Buffy/Spike fan. Hoping U.S. survives Donald Trump and all the haters he speaks for.
