A simple bit of surgery – done thousands of times every day. But not for Stan – and not for Kay. Fate was to step into their happy lives, uninvited, unwelcome.
‘I love you, Kay. See you later.’
These were the last words he would ever say.
This is their fight to regain what was taken that day, based on the gritty determination, anger – but above all – love.
For better for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in…Silence!
A Voice for Stan.
About the Author
Hello, my name is Sue Pacey and I’ve worked for the NHS for 51 years, so it was inevitable that this would figure heavily in my novels. I was first a nurse and trained in the 1960s when the service was still very much in its infancy. My other interest is in the paranormal – so my novels are a bit like ‘Call the Midwife’ meets ‘The Sixth Sense.’ All are written with a good dose of humor and are easy reads. Nothing too terrifying and no rampant sex.
To date, there are four novels and two more on the way. I do hope you enjoy them. I live in the Derbyshire Peak District with my husband, daughter, and granddaughter and three extremely lazy cats.
I still work as a midwife now and then and have ten hives of bees.
