The dialogue is so authentic, you can hear their voices. The characters are real and 3-dimensional and the supporting cast of cats and dogs at times threaten to steal the show. This is a fulfilling and satisfying read, uplifting, positive and makes you long for a sequel.

Karen and her husband Nick moved from the U.K. to Portugal in 2003. They are still living every day in Paradise. Karen is retired, looks after their rescued waifs and strays and plans to continue to write about their lives.
