‘Beyond the Blue Swing Doors,’ sees Paola Green become a trained nurse, but not before a few adventures have been had along the way. Will love ever come again?
Just one word – Liam.
About the Author
Like the heroine of her first novel, Sue Pacey trained as a nurse in the 1960s when the NHS was still very much in its infancy. With a 50-year- career behind her, she has many stories to tell. AA true country girl, born and bred, she lives near Chesterfield with husband, Stephen, and 3 extremely lazy cats.
She is a keen ‘grow-your-own’ gardener, beekeeper and is at true peace watching the local wildlife. Sue still works part-time as a midwife and somehow, still finds time to write novels. ‘Listening to Linnie’ is her first novel and there will be two more to follow in the series.
Sue has been a member of an extremely successful group of Chesterfield writers called the Wingerworth Wordsmiths.
Under the watchful eye of tutor Paul Kane, the lucky thirteen, as they became known, won the prestigious David St. John Thomas Award for an anthology at the Society of Authors in London – and at their first attempt!
No less than seven of the group are published authors in their own right.
Sue cannot thank Paul enough for his belief in, and support of his students.” He is a busy, well-published writer of mass-market Sci-Fi novels but always found time to tutor us to what we have all become. We are so fortunate he came our way”.
Two anthologies to which she has contributed were published to raise money for local charities – one of which ‘Perspectives’ won the above award.
