This is a fabulous read for start-up people and seasoned entrepreneurs alike. Alaoui brilliantly walks you through all aspects of being a successful business person. The first part of the book sets the tone and walks through the necessary personality traits and characteristics needed for success. The second part of the book focuses on how to sell. As any entrepreneur knows, selling is essential to success. Alaoui brilliantly tackles very technical and psychological aspects to closing a sale through his 9 questions framework. The book is full of great nuggets such as how to write an effective business plan, how to effectively establish an online presence, how to sell socially, and the technical aspects to starting a business and vehicles by which people use to raise capital from sophisticated investors. All in all, I found this book to be extremely helpful and enlightening for people immersed in the start up experience or interested in potentially working on a start up in the future. Five out of five stars.
About the Author
Sam Alaoui, a self-made entrepreneur and registered investment advisor, grew up in Casablanca. Watching Wall Street as a teenager instilled his dream to become a finance professional on Wall Street. Alaoui studied in France before moving to New York, where he started his own investment firm and international consulting company.
Alaoui has an MBA in Finance and Management and a Master of International Business. He currently serves as a wealth manager, is the co-founder and managing partner of Capital Trust & Associates LLC (www.capitaltrustllc.com), and is the CEO of Capital Frontline LLC (www.capitalfrontline.com).
