“When I finished this book, I could hear Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker in my head and, believe me, you will too! Maxine Sinclair combines all the elements that we love in one romance – Christmas, ballet, wonderful men, loves lost and love’s found. Every issue that happens in a woman’s life – divorce, friendship, the other woman, death of a loved one, and domestic violence – is part of the story. Ms. Sinclair handles these very delicate subjects with sensitivity and a little bit of humor. And in the end, everyone gets a happy ending!” Readers’ Favorite

Engaging story with well drawn characters.”

Five Star Review on Amazon By Mama Bookworm

This isn’t my usual kind of read but it was given to me by a friend and I really enjoyed it. Some may call it “Chick lit”, but I have read examples of that genre and this book is a cut above anything else I’ve previously come across. The characters are well drawn, the plot rolls along at a good pace and unlike other previous cosy books I’ve read the plot isn’t predictable. It held my interest throughout and I was keen to learn what was going to happen to Amy and her fellow dancers. Centering the novel around an adult beginners’ ballet class was a really effective way of introducing the different characters and I’m hoping this will turn into a series, as I would be interested to learn more about them. It’s not War and Peace but if you’re looking for a well written book, with realistic fully formed characters and an engaging story, then this is the book for you. Perfect for snuggling down on the sofa with a hot chocolate on a cold winter’s day.
