FOOLING EWE is an illustrated children’s book about Ewe (pronounced ‘you’), a precocious young sheep who’s bored grazing the meadow and now wants to play. In search of adventure, she travels the barnyard playing tricks on her fellow farm animals, including Farmer, and her escapades are both fun and unpredictable. Ewe is a good-natured prankster whose antics promote values of inclusion and making friends with those that are different, and the ‘ewe’ versus ‘you’ (homophone) wordplay creates a sense of interaction between young readers and the characters. FOOLING EWE is the first in a series about Ewe, with a focus on language and positive values.
“A Great read for the Mischievous and Good-Natured”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Tiffany Heater
From the back cover: Fooling Ewe n. A female sheep who wants to play, mischievous but good-natured; different.
I think most children can relate. This was a really cute picture book. A great read for young bookworms! I enjoyed the moral of the story, that is, its ok to be different, and its ok to have friends that are different from you. Well-written verse acommpanied by colorful imagery, this would make a great bed time story!
I received a copy of this book through a First Reads giveaway.
