This book is an easy read and one that I never wanted to end. Once you sit down to read this story be prepared to do nothing else, you won’t want to put it down. Emily’s story is full of love, humor and good advice. It reminds us that the people that surround us in our childhood shape us into who we are to become. Greedy for life is a book everyone should read and one that would be a wonderful gift for those you love.

About the Author

Lori Stevic-Rust, PhD, is a board certified clinical health psychologist and national healthcare expert on senior services. She is a strong advocate for seniors and a sought-after national speaker and media contributor. Dr. Lori brings a great deal of enthusiasm, wit, and inspiration for understanding the psychological impact of geriatric care and other health issues. Her strong advocacy for seniors earned her the outstanding leadership award in the field of Adult Abuse, Awareness & Prevention by the Western Reserve Area on Aging. She has also been honored as a 2013 Professional Woman of Excellence by the YWCA.

Above all, she is the proud granddaughter of Emily Serian, her 101 year old Nana. While Dr. Lori has co-authored three author clinical books on cardiac health and depression, her latest book, Greedy for Life: A Memoir on Aging has proven to be her most rewarding experience. When Nana turned 100 years old last year and Dr. Lori turned 50, she began to reflect on the life lessons that Nana has given her to guide her through the aging process with gratitude.
Nana and Dr. Lori share a sense of humor and spirit of gratitude that is reflected in the book. They are having great fun together speaking and signing books. Nana’s advice is to remain greedy for life—approach things with passion and desire and absorb those moments in your life.
