Isabel Cook has a hard time accepting her homecoming. Moving from California back to her hometown of Heartwood, Virginia has her pride squealing in pain. Accompanied by her fiancé, Duncan, she makes the transition just in time for her fifteen-year reunion. There she encounters and reconnects with her old childhood friend, August McKenney. The reunion is bittersweet, as August reminds her of her past and all the things Isabel tried to leave behind. Now in her mid-thirties, she is transported back to the town of her youth, forced to live in a hotel until the renovations on her house are completed, and hating her job.

August is there to lend his support either way. They made a promise to each other the year they turned thirteen. If neither one of them is married by thirty-five, then they would give themselves to each other in holy matrimony. Isabel had thought herself safe, never realizing that, even after all this time, August still loves her. And has made it his mission to do everything possible to claim her.

“Amazingly sweet country romance”

Five Star Review on Amazon By afgal168

Bought the book and read it in a day–fast read with fully developed characters. It’s a small-town romance (only one stoplight in the entire town!), and really brings to life what it’s like to live in the country. Love the dynamic between Isabel and August, and the ending was a twister that I didn’t see coming. Can’t wait for the next book in the series to come out!

About the Author

Brea Viragh is a romance author focusing on contemporary, paranormal, and urban fantasy. She has been writing fiction since the third grade when her teacher thought it a good idea to leave her alone at a computer and see what happened. Must have been fate! Although an original resident of the Garden State, she has since passed through three others before catapulting to a stop in Virginia.
When she is not writing, she’s likely binge watching HGTV, planning her next home renovation project, or annoying others by threatening to put them in an upcoming book. She received her B.A. from Berea College and her M.S. from Nova Southeastern University. Now she lives with her boyfriend, puppy, and three cats in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia where she is perceived by one and all as alpha female.
