“An Inspiring YA Read”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Danielle Urban
Kendra’s Diaries by K.P. Smith is a clean YA novel that readers will love. A story told from the main character’s point of view. Times are hard and it seems that get even harder, when all we want is for them to get better. A young girl growing up with hopes and dreams, that we all can easily relate to in our lives. Family issues and issues that all teenagers struggle with as they grow up, comes to life in this journal like story. Despite all the downs, Kendra Foster, is a role model that even us adults can take after. She never gives up on her Catholic faith even when things don’t go the way she expects them to, and she keeps on going strong. I admire the young female character’s strength in her faith and in God. I loved how this story was different from most YA novels. It has a realistic background with real issues. Kendra’s Diaries is inspiring. I highly recommend this novel to readers everywhere. K.P. Smith has a way of storytelling that will capture her audience and drag them deep into her novel.
