The following is a true story; love and heartache in high school, the feelings of anger, curiosity through the years, and finally a reuniting.
At forty-nine, I’ve suffered a wide variety of ups and downs, emotional highs and lows. I thought I’d experienced every feeling imaginable. The emotions I shared with Debbie in the short seven months God allowed us together were beyond my wildest dreams. I was about to get an education in how deeply one can truly love another person.

“A Rollercoaster of Emotions”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Hippie Cowgirl
Jeff Dawson wrote a very moving account of how he fell in love, fell out of love, found it again then lost it forever. The unique aspect of this book is that the reader gets the male perspective on love. He takes us back to high school to establish the background. For those of us who are 50ish, it’s a walk down memory lane because of so many shared experiences of that time period. Then the story moves chronologically with respect to his love of a lifetime. You will laugh, cry, get angry and sometimes take sides with the characters. Also, many of us will see ourselves in other sections of the book and ultimately we have to ask ourselves if we could have held up as well under such adversity. I’ve read it several times and will read it again!
About the Author
Mr. Dawson was involved in the road construction business for over twenty-five years. He endured great highs and lows: fathered three children, went through a divorce, two failed business ventures, bankruptcy, multiple surgeries and a reunification with his high school sweetheart, Debbie, who he would kiss goodbye for the last time seven months later.
His last surgery in 2010 forced him to temporarily exit the construction industry. With one career behind him, he ventured into a new one–writing. The first stories he wrote are real life scenarios dealing with losing loved ones to cancer: his partner, father and Debbie. These works are both honest and heart-warming. He holds nothing back as he allows readers to look deep into the psyche of one who has loved and lost so much.
He has also written books in the following genres: science/fiction, time travel, Baseball coaching manuals, horror, poetry, alternative history and erotica.
He currently lives in the DFW area spending time with friends and family.
