Mantle: The Return of the Sha by Gary Bregar
In a world rooted in magic, Lizabet Abbot was seemingly born without any magical gifts of her own—a circumstance unheard of in her kingdom. She is an outcast in her own land, with few friends to call her own.
But when her sister is kidnapped by minions of the evil kingdom of Skite, Lizabet sets out with two companions on a quest to save her. It is during their journey, while in the face of danger, that Lizabet discovers she does have a magical gift—one more powerful than anyone could have imagined.
It is a gift that may save her sister, her king, and her kingdom.
Gripping and filled with wonders, Mantle rouses the senses, and brings life to a world of magic and intrigue.
“Entertaining Epic Fantasy Read!”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Charity
“Mantle: The Return of Sha” by Gary Bregar is an epic fantasy adventure read! The story follows an outcast girl named Lizabet Abbot who seems to not possess any magical abilities. This issue causes her many problems since her world is very deeply rooted in magic. She’s a bit of loner and outcast but when her sister is abruptly kidnapped, Lizabet (along with two new companions) must rise to the challenge and attempt to save her sister. Along the way, Lizabet discovers new allies, terrifying enemies as well as an unexpected gift that could change the course of everything.
I found “Mantle: The Return of Sha” to be a very entertaining read. I think the story will appeal to fantasy and adventure genre fans. I found Lizabet to be a very likeable heroine. She was not without flaws but she consistently rose to the challenge even in the face of insurmountable odds. Bregar does a good job keeping the story and action moving forward and I look forward to more from this author.
