About the Author
Originally from Central Florida, Kristin has been happily soaking up New York City’s vibrant energy since 2000.
She earned her undergrad degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN, where she received a BA in East Asian Studies with a minor in Japanese language. Her Master of Arts degree is from New York University in Media, Culture, and Communication.
Her first job in the communications field resulted from a tweet. Through Twitter, a health company discovered her blog Words Are Food (centered on holistic nutrition) and hired her as a content writer for their website. Kristin’s freelance work soon extended to social media instruction/management and later evolved into a position at the International Women’s Writing Guild as Director of Operations.
Kristin is currently pursuing an Executive Master of Science degree in Strategic Communication from Columbia University. Her Dream Life includes guiding others to lead their most joyful, authentic, and empowered lives.
