Science said he wouldn’t. Biology said he couldn’t. Naysayers said, “No way.” But he did.
“He” is Mighty Little Man, a cat. But he’s no ordinary cat. He’s indestructible. He’s a military mascot, protector, cuddler, and fighter. And he finds himself fighting for his life.
His “daddy” is Jonny, a Harley-Davidson riding, muscle car building, retired US Air Force officer who baby-talks to cats. Haunted by the memory of a kitten from his youth, he will stop at nothing to save Little Man.
This is the incredible true story of a human-animal bond like no other as award-winning author Jonathon Scott Payne and Mighty Little Man do “whatever it takes” – to win.
Special Note: After this book was published, the Mighty Little Man was credited with three World Records, including one as “Most Survivable Cat.” He was named 2016 Pet of the Year by the World Record Academy. Today he is namesake of proposed legislation in the USA known as “Little Man’s Law.”

“A cat with personality!”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Melissa Filipi
For anyone who shares their home with animals, this book will make them laugh, cry, and nod their head in understanding. It truly is Jonny’s story, Little Man’s story, their story. As the tale unfolds, we discover Jonny’s interesting history and follow the development of his lifelong love and compassion for animals. We become part of the family. And then Little Man joins the tale… and takes over the story.
We share the ups and downs of Jonny’s journey with a special cat, Little Man. For those who think cats have no personality, I challenge you to read this book without a change of heart! Little Man is quite the character! Jonny’s tells the stories so many of us can understand, stories that highlight the human-animal bond and the joy it brings. Our lives are enriched through the pets who share our homes, Little Man and Jonny illustrate that perfectly. I look forward to following the story of Little Man and wish him (and Jonny) all the best!
