Dax and Drakthira enter the Myste with Trakon and Sylas by their side. They are intent on continuing their quest to figure out how to destroy the mysterious Dragon Orb created by Jessa Dragonheart and free the dragons. Once inside the grey abyss, things don’t go as planned, and the party is soon split up.
Trakon is led astray by what appears to be a little girl claiming to be lost, and it is up to Sylas to find and bring him back. There are many dangers in the Myste, and it takes all of his knowledge and cunning to keep the old man safe, especially since Trakon’s ability to funnel earth magic makes him a valuable commodity. Along the way they pick up a fey woman who helps them with their quest, but Sylas is suspicious of her motives towards his friend and creator. Will she try to capture the old man and keep him prisoner so she can have access to his magic?
Daxon is forced to come to terms with his past and accept that he is not what he seems. His struggle will lead both him and Drakthira into the depths of the past where they will discover his true origins. Once faced with the truth, will ‘Thira be able to help Dax accept his dark past? Or will he be lost to her forever?
“Loved it very interesting”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Kindle Customer
The book continued right where it left off pretty much. You get to understand more of the character depth of the dog Sylis the earth mage dragon rider Trekan and Dax who bonded mate Female dragon Drakthira. I think I got spelling close can’t remember. I was very happy to learn love she and Dax shared and hope there can be more. Also really can’t wait for next book the adventure interesting. When I was listening to it at parts I was like why couldn’t she go comfort her bond mate but she just stayed in shadows. I also gotta remember she just a hatchling until like 6 months of age for her. At least she and Dax will never die since they bonded hopefully. It also be nice if there can be some scenes of Drakthira and Dax showing there comfort and love to each other by like her curling around Dax and holding him tightly to her belly that very warm and protecting him from evil of the night that may be there seeking to eat him. Dax should also hug her tightly with love and maybe they could kiss since they bonded and share love like no other. Also the Myste is very interesting, we learn more about it history during this book to.
About the Author
Shanlynn Walker lives in Kansas with her husband, two teenage children, and her two Doberman Pinschers. The inspiration for Sylas, the wraith-like dog from the Myste, came from her fawn Doberman, also named Sylas, and he is now a main character in her Dragons of Daegonlot series.
The idea for Dragons of Daegonlot came after reading dragonrider books and realizing if she were a dragon she would never let a lowly human tell her what to do. This, in turn, led her to start wondering under what circumstances she would even want to befriend a human if she was a dragon. The more she thought about it, the more ludicrous it seemed, but she firmly believes there are plenty of good traits in humans. Even traits a dragon might appreciate.
Currently she is working on the third book of the series, The Godling Staff. If you would like to know more, please visit her website, www.shanlynnwalker.com.
