” Fab short story with a twist!”

Five Star Review on Amazon by Gary Carroll

This is a fab little short story, very amusing with a nice twist! It leaves you unsure as to which way things are going to go and the story/characters – particularly the main character – are all very relatable. This is a nice bite-size chunk of a story too. Great for an amusing read over your morning coffee. I shall look forward to more from this author. A fab debut! Read it.

About the Author

Alan was born in Walsall, West Midlands but has also lived in Sheffield, Dudley and Wolverhampton.

He began writing at an early age and would often spend hours writing stories and songs. Enid Blyton, Roald Dahl and Susan Townsend were early inspirations and Alan would often attempt to imitate their work as a child.

After reading a number of Simon Kernick stories in his 20’s Alan began to consider taking up serious writing.

Finally in 2015 after a number of abandoned projects he completed his first short story ‘Nigel’s Luck’ and it was published on the amazon kindle in June.

Alan loves to read thrillers and cites Simon Kernick, Mark Billingham, Stephen Edger, Chris Carter and Oliver Stark as his influences. He is also a huge Sherlock Holmes fan and has a deep respect for the original stories by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

In his spare time Alan loves spending time with his two children and is a WWE and Doctor Who fan as well as a supporter of Wolverhampton Wanderers.
