A peaceful valley in the mountains of Colorado becomes a battleground pitting the federal government against a rural sheriff’s department. Beleaguered Sheriff Bear Ellison finds himself outnumbered, over-matched, and increasingly isolated as he is forced to decide between risking his life protecting a local hero, or reneging on his oath and handing him over to federal prosecutors.

“First Rate, Fast Paced Storytelling”

Five Star Review on AmazonĀ By D. Buxman

Oathkeeper is a fast paced, well-written book that kept me engaged and entertained throughout. The characters are well-developed for such a short book and the story line is timely. Sadly, there are very few sheriffs that understand their role under the Constitution and, as such, we have a proliferation of federal abuses that should not be tolerated in a free society. If you are a Hillary or Bernie supporter, I wouldn’t recommend this book. I look forward to more offerings from Mr. Grice.

About the Author

Troy Grice has been an avid reader of dystopian novels and science fiction since his teens. He describes his own stories as “abrasive satire” and “counter-propaganda.” His fiction challenges the legitimacy of authority, attacks establishment corruption, and decries the semi-lucid who enable it. He believes that true journalism is nearly extinct and that the novelists, musicians, and film makers comprise the last Fourth Estate.

When he’s not working or writing, he enjoys making noise on his Gibson Les Paul, and spending time with his family in the foothills near Evergreen, Colorado.
