Nelvin is a man, divided. He is either going insane … or is the recipient of a most incredible opportunity. But he may go insane while he tries to figure out which one it is.
Can it be that the Overseers have really chosen him as the newest incarnation of PHASE? If so, it is in complete contrast to the reality that he is familiar with – his humdrum, humble existence and his dead-end job.
It’s just too impossible! He can’t even convince himself that it’s really happening. How could someone else begin to believe if he should dare to tell them?
There’s a new Superhero in town.

Five Star Review on Amazon by Leigh Ann Venable
I never liked super heroes. As a kid, I didn’t read comic books. I didn’t see the Superman or Rocket Man movies that are so wildly popular. I thought the Batman series was a yawn. So, why did I love Phase so much? Is it because Nelvin Crumholtz didn’t start out being Tony Starke or Bruce Wayne–rich, tended to by servants, lots of cool gadgets at his disposal? Maybe.
But the author’s clever foreshadowing of the life Nelvin is destined to have compared to the “work-a-day” subsistence he endures, gives the reader every chance to cheer for Nelvin BECOMING a super hero as well as BEING A superhero. Part Sci Fi and part fantasy, Phase is a credit to and a giant step forward in both genres! The author has created a book that will take its place with Superman, Spider Man and all the others who come to our side when we truly need a hero! By far the best book of its kind I have ever read!
About the Author
Although I started this journey a little late in life (54) I suppose it was inevitable that I take this road since I’ve always had a very active imagination. While writing my first book, “An Unlikely Source”, I constantly was planning things that would be put into the second and third books. With each successive book the same holds true and the ideas keep flowing. I never dreamed it would be this exciting.
My friends at work and church know me as comical, childish and fun loving. I am the eternal optimist and that is how I am able to bring these ideas out of my mind for the rest of the world to read. Ultimately I must thank God for his kindness and for giving me the idea for my first book. Those who have read my books have given them very good reviews. Thanks to those of you who have found your way to this page.
