Ravens Run: A Cybertech Thriller
A patriotic rogue agent, RAVEN, is saved by JOSIE, a
gentle woman with mystic powers. They face terrorists with Iranian nukes.
When Raven is terminated with prejudice by the government, they must
work together to rediscover censored history, expose high treason, solve two
historic assassinations, and prevent an apocalyptic attack that would destroy
The backstory features some of the most interesting history that you’ve
never heard. Best-selling author Anne Hillerman said, “Raven’s Run
serves up a giant helping of fascinating history along with memorable
characters and hair-raising suspense. Bravo.”
My fourth Thriller introduces two major new
characters, RAVEN and JOSIE. It features a post-nuclear Iran and a young, naïve,
John Black (the male lead in God’s House), along with a
high-concept clandestine project of President Kennedy’s: A secret initiative
that doubled-down on his program to put man on the moon and assert American
exceptionalism and power during the time of the Cold War and Cuban Missile
Raven’s Run contains a mix of fiction,
true history, and real threats that pose extreme danger to America. My tale
turned real with the contentious “Iran deal” before the
ink was dry. Intense media interviews resulted.
This and previous novels have ALL won National Awards, and the first chapters are posted (FREE) on my web page, johntrudel.com
“Very engrossing; took precedence over many daily tasks.”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Cynthia Drew
Well… it scared me! The issue of Iran with nuclear power is forefront in the news, so the book is very timely. Trudel was quite prescient when he wrote the book; it was printed in 2014. I enjoyed the history of Byrd’s Antarctic explorations, which is a subplot.
About the Author
John D. Trudel has authored two nonfiction books and four Thriller novels: God’s House, Privacy Wars, Soft Target, and Raven’s Run. His next novel, Raven’s Redemption, will be out in 2015. He graduated from Georgia Tech and Kansas State, had a long career in high-technology, wrote columns for several national magazines, and lives in Oregon and Arizona.
As an inventor and an instrument rated multiengine pilot, he has long loved aviation and technology. John had a pilot’s license before he had a driver’s license. He built and flew his own radio-controlled aircraft before they were called “drones” and programmed computers before PCs existed.
His popular blog was selected by a Radio Host as one of the “top 8 in the Northwest.” It has a mix of information about both real world events and novels.
John’s first three novels all won awards. Two were finalists for the prestigious Eric Hoffer award. Privacy Wars predicted the NSA and IRS scandals, winning three Awards in the process and gleaning many media interviews.
Details, links, interviews, and video trailers are posted on John’s website. The first chapters of his novels are there too, free.
Dr. Jerry Pournelle, the world famous SF writer and Star Wars scientist, described Raven’s Run as a “Thriller on the bleeding edge of reality.” If you like John’s books, the most helpful thing you can do is to recommend them to your friends and post a review on Amazon. THANK YOU.
