The Chronicles is a collection of humorous short stories, tall tales and narrative about the family Rednak. The Rednaks are a fictitious creation inspired by the author’s use of the pen name Alce A. Rednak, for his political satire columns and opinion commentary during the 1990s.

It traces the history of two brother’s immigration to America after the close of the Civil War and subsequent family milestones connected to significant incidents of historic importance, anecdotes of family members adventures and classic characters that were encountered along the way.

About the Author

From early beginnings in the field of real estate, progressing to: building development, public common carrier communications, charter and commercial fishing, writing and editing, tourism naturalist, barbecue and cooking, and finally in present-day, as an aspiring novelist, Steve will show you a Southern perspective as unique as the tapestry of our great country. Specializing in outdoor, environmental genres and political commentary, he invested ten years as a free lance writer producing over five hundred articles, columns, features and commentary, for newspapers and various publications, both regional and national. He has lectured and advocated before small and large groups sharing his concerns for our natural world and environmental conditions. This is his first book and will be followed soon by a sequel, “On The Road With Beudreaux And Me”, and “Fish Daze” an adventure novel the author has been working on for several years.
