“The universe has changed. Planet Earth has changed. Our way of life as we know it, will never be the same.”
[Recording made by Derek Williams: former Chief of Staff to The President of the United States of America]
DESCRIPTION: A space expedition begins its voyage to a newly discovered planet. But on Earth, coverage of this historic event becomes overshadowed by a devastating explosion.
In this fast-paced story, Secret Service Agent Mike Stanton and the President’s Chief of Staff are assigned to the investigation. Their leading suspect is a hooded figure whose eyes glow red.
Forced to confront their past, they learn of a conspiracy that renders the human race vulnerable to a terrifying force of power.
“Fans of post-apocalyptic science fiction will love this!”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Book Lover
This was a fast-paced and exciting read. The opening scenes were cinematic. The author did a great job in creating the dramatic tension for when the readers would first “meet” the firewalker – which did not happen until later in the story.
Many times scenes were told from civilians’ point of view when something catastrophic happened. These framed the background story, and helped me visualize them as in a movie.
Mike, our protagonist, had his flaws, but was likeable and I was eager to turn pages to keep up with his actions.
Fans of post-apocalyptic science fiction, especially of malevolent alien invasion will be sure to love this. I, for one, cannot wait to read more from this new author.
