106th selfie of the day uploaded as the profile pic.

Helen was one of those creatures who doesn’t exist any more. She had absolutely NO social media accounts. GASP!

The story begins the day she sits down finally to create one. Although she hasn’t quite got the hang of it, she quickly becomes obsessed with her own virtual life and that of her friends and ‘friends’.

Every chapter begins with her new Status. Incident follows hilarious incident: ‘friending’, ‘unfriending’, ‘liking’, ‘deleting’, ‘relationship status mayhems’, ‘shocking comments’ all intertwine to create an eventful story with a variety of characters and a surprising ending.

Helen experiences photo-tagging terror, selfie overdosing and realises that one of the worst things you can do in life is to leave your social media open and walk away when ‘not so nice’ friends are in front of your computer. Frape alert!

After some brushes with virtual stalking, scamming and other entangled situations, will Helen ever become more savvy?

A very enjoyable read – entertaining and funny.

About the Author

Arabella Rox started writing when she realised she could create a character whose life was even more disaster-prone than her own. She did various creative writing courses and, while sitting on long train journeys through English winters, she decided to write a book about the craziness that happens uniquely through social media. Arabella Rox has a double life where she cannot disclose her true identity yet, like the Sia of young adult fiction. Her greatest wish is truly to entertain her readers.

Arabella Rox writes fiction for young adults and uses modern day technology to add to twists and turns of the stories she tells.
