After discovering that her son’s friend, Ryan, is on the search for his birthparents, Lynn Assimacopoulos decides to use her skills as a genealogical hobbyist to find them. Delving through phone books, sending letters, and searching everything from the local library to the National Archives, Lynn is defeated by the lack of information she has to go on. However, a random search for Ryan’s birth mother’s name in an internet search engine yields a photograph of a family. Could this be the correct person? If so, will she even want to revisit her past and get to know Ryan?

Loved this book! Rare, true story of one woman’s perseverance to find a man’s birth parents. I felt like I was on this search with her, sharing in the excitement and frustration of new leads and dead ends. Hooked to the end.
