Sois Sage is the definition of pure science fiction emboldened by a dash of political intrigue. The title is French; it is a phrase French parents say to their children that simply translates to “be wise” in English. The novel calls all to be wise as complex times and drastic technological shifts approach mankind’s horizon. Within the novel, in the very near future, the direction of humanity is manipulated by the will of powerful individuals on a far-off planet. Sois Sage does an excellent job predicting a possible future while connecting the events of a very large cosmos to the life of a young girl named Sage and her little brother Gideon, who both undergo a traumatic experience that ripples through the narrative. Through all the complex makings of a futuristic world, Sois Sage highlights the meaning of pure human connection, laying out powerful messages through the use of vivid and colorful language. It is indeed a ride, one of interconnected narratives crossing through space and time like a boat through easy river water.

“A fantastic sci-fi tale by a first time author”

Five Star Review on Amazon by Amazon Customer

A fantastic sci-fi tale by a first time author. From front to back I was riveted by the choices and risks taken creatively to force me to think about things like mortality, technology, loneliness, regret, and depression. So much was packed inside of the narrative that I honestly feel I can read this book infinitely and dig something new up from it. I was in love with the characters, as they all possessed the same sense of doubt within them, fostered by a need to belong. I believe this novel encapsulates the darker aspects of humanity while plopping us into a world that is familiar and foreign all the same. I do believe that there are grand concepts that will isolate some readers, but those same concepts will entice others. I loved this story! Found it while doing a deep dive into the sci-fi section and decided to take a chance. Since I picked it up I didn’t put it down all weekend. I’ve been singing its praises from dusk til dawn! Great story!
