“Take on Aging as a Sport; The Athletic Approach to Aging” shares with readers a new paradigm on aging as being a challenge instead of an inevitable period of decline. The author spurs the reader’s inner athlete to get off the bench and into the game. Taking on symptoms and common conditions of aging as opposing competitors is an empowering approach that anyone who has played sports or overcome adversity can identify with and utilize as an effective game plan. Learning how to scout your opponents, utilize training principles, eat for performance, build your own team, the importance of time outs, and how to stay in the game until the end are just some of the areas covered in the book. It is an empowering, sometimes humorous read that anyone over fifty will be able to identify with, enjoy, and utilize as they play the most challenging sport of their lives—the Aging Game.
