While she loves the tranquillity of St. Eves, where crime is almost unheard of, and nothing really exciting ever happens, her good friend, Chief Inspector Nathan Costello, is longing for a good, juicy felony to get his teeth into.
When the arrival of newcomers to the community of St. Eves triggers a chain of events that end in tragedy, Nathan relishes the thrill of investigating his first murder, while Charlotte unwittingly turns amateur-sleuth to help solve the case and restore peace and harmony to the town as quickly as possible.
Twists and turns abound in Tapas, Carrot Cake and a Corpse, the first book in the Charlotte Denver Cozy Mystery series.

” Excellent!”

Five Star Review on Amazon By Kathleen Charon

I love cozy mysteries and I am always anxious to try a new author. What a fantastic book this turned out to be! I was amazed at how well I liked and understood the characters and the mystery was not predictable. I enjoy the local flavor and I cannot wait to read more books by this author. What a pleasant surprise to find such a wonderful book when I was expecting “just” a quick and fun read!

About the Author

Sherri Bryan lives in Spain with her husband and their two dogs. She’d never even read a Cozy Mystery until 2014, when she accidentally downloaded the wrong book onto her e-reader and figured she might as well read it anyway. Her love of Cozy Mysteries started that day, and since then, she’s read many more, finding new authors to add to her list of favorites along the way, and enjoying the different approach and style that each author lends to their own Cozy Mystery stories. Aside from writing, Sherri’s main interests include cooking, reading, watching crime dramas and her dogs. When she’s not tapping away on her keyboard, you’ll most likely find her in the kitchen, playing with her two rescue dogs or curled up somewhere with her nose in a book Coming from a working background in Sales, Marketing and Customer Care, Sherri has always wanted to write, but never got around to it until now. Tapas, Carrot Cake and a Corpse – the first of the Charlotte Denver Cozy Mystery books – is the result.
