That’s Life by Stephanie Batts
Ashley and Darnell are having problems. After 14 years of marriage and 3 children, times get tough, and money gets tight. Instead of coming together as a couple, they start to drift apart, going down separate paths. After Ashley decides to go back to work, things go from bad to worse, QUICKLY. Darnell gets stressed out from all the strain, and begins to seek comfort, elsewhere. Ashley’s response to Darnell’s infidelity is “What’s good for the goose, is good for the gander.” Joan, Ashley’s mother, isn’t helping matters, either. Kendra, Ashley’s sister, has her back, but guess what? She gets a curve ball thrown at her she was NOT expecting.
That’s Life takes a long, emotional look at the issues that most families unwittingly find themselves in. It reminds you that we all have problems. Some are easy to resolve. Some are not so easy. If you look closer at Ashley and Darnell, you might just see a little of yourself, in them.
