Five Star Review on Amazon By T. Berry
From the synopsis on the back of the book jacket, I was a little hesitant that the book would be too overbearing in its anti-bullying message. However, the story inside quickly changed my mind. Author Michelle Falanga has woven a delightful and charming tale of a small boy’s journey toward acceptance. The message is still there, but it is buried as subtext to the story. Inventive in its use of the bunny and turning the definition of “monster” on its ear, Falanga has captured an entertaining tale that will strike a chord in both young and old readers alike. The illustrations by M. Santram-Chernov are in perfect sync with the story and capture the imagery beautifully. I look forward to seeing more work from this pairing.
About the Author
Michelle is an Actor, Voice Talent and Writer from the Boston area. She has written sketch comedies and plays and collaborated on other writing projects, but this is her first Children’s Book. Michelle is inspired by the “bunny” in “The Amazing Monster” and wishes we could all see each other with those magic eyes.
She feels blessed to have been able to collaborate with the very talented Melizza Chernov to bring her words to life in illustrations.
