About the Author

John Hill was born in Hawthorne Nevada, to Migrant Farm Working parents. He was placed in Foster Care in 1955 and remained in foster care for 9 years until his graduation from high school in 1964. After spending 4 years in theĀ Air Force, he attended college earning his BS and MBA degrees. He worked for 37 years in Private and Public employment including 10 years as Chief of Staff to a Los Angeles County Supervisor. In 2009 he retired and started to write. He has written two books “Dreamer in the fields, my life as a migrant farm worker” (2010) and his latest book “The Sermon at the Coliseum”.
