“Sometimes we choose to forget the things in life that hurt us the most.”
What has Abigail forgotten? What has been erased?
Plenty, apparently…
Abigail, the self-proclaimed hexed, is falling apart at the seams. She’s mad at the world—at the series of doors that continue to slam in her face. Most of all, she’s mad at herself.
When her best friend Sammy interferes in her spiral of self-loathing with an intervention, she finds herself entering through the door of a successful law firm and right into Marcus’ lap. Literally.
He’s sophisticated, funny, alluring…but also underhanded. There’s something else about Marcus that Abigail never expected. Magic.
Thirty Days – Part One, is just the beginning of one amazing story that has twists and turns you’ll never see coming.

“Debut novel that knocks it out of the park! READ THIS NOW!”
Five Star Review on Amazon By Lisa Marie
Wow!! This book……what do I tell you about this book without giving anything away? Let me start with the fact that it has a phenomenal story line. This plot will blow you away because just when you think you are reading an average romance, you figure out you’re NOT! It is so much more than that. That this is Belle Brooks’ debut novel says that she should have been writing well before now and had better not quit.
Thirty Days starts with the heroine quite literally face first in the dirt. Abigail McMillian has had it rough lately. Or, according to her, always has as she believes she is hexed. Though flashbacks and current happenings, Ms Brooks paints a pretty grim few months for Abi and you can completely understand why she has had a cocktail or 1200. Luckily for Abi, she has a strong group of friends and her Mum to help her get herself straight and even get her a job where she meets Marcus, swoon-worthy, cryptic, enigma Marcus. This is where you start to realize that things aren’t as they seem and wonder if Abi really is hexed.
I absolutely enjoyed Ms. Brooks’ writing style. Her characters have depth and a true to life feel, from the leads all the way through to every secondary character. You can connect with Abi’s heartache and Sammy’s (Abi’s best friend) want to help her friend immediately. Belle strikes the perfect balance between inner dialogue and character interaction with the story moving along effortlessly. Ms. Brooks builds the suspense and intrigue very well and when the truth comes to light, it is both shocking and makes the little hints given make sense.
A note for those who don’t like them, this is a cliffhanger as the title suggests BUT I would recommend that you set aside that prejudice and read this one. You will not be disappointed and will be clamoring for the next book, as I am. Write Ms. Brooks! Write!
