Though He May Slay Me

Consider for a moment, the story of Ruth Phew. She was placed in a position where her world was turned upside down.

The Bible says that Faith is, “the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11-1) Faith gives substance to the things that we hope for. But what if you have lost faith? What happens when you feel as if all hope is lost? Can you reestablish your faith? Yes, you can. Or rather, God can.

Consider for a moment, the story of Ruth Phew. She was placed in a position where her world was turned upside down. She felt that she had nowhere to turn. Years prior, she had turned her back on God, on the church and on Faith. Now Faith was exactly what she needed to get through the storm that was raging in her life. Just when Ruth was beginning to feel hopeless, God sends an unlikely person into her life. What began as an annoyance, quickly turns into a friendship that not only changes Ruth’s life but also pushes her towards her future.
